AI Office Hours today...

Hi Reader,

Today are office hours where we are talking about AI. Please join me at 1 pm pacific time and ask any questions you have about AI or AILeader.info

Here is the zoom link. It will be recorded and posted at learn.aileader.info by tomorrow.

Here are a few things worth your time.

Worth Reading

This article sparked a little controversy on X (neé Twitter) this weekend. Should lesson plans be required to be submitted to administration? Yes or no?

My experience as a teacher was that they were never required.

My experience as a principal was one of the following:

  1. Required for all teachers
  2. Not required for any teachers
  3. Required only as part of a plan of improvement.

Which is best? What do you think?

Worth Hearing

This week on the Transformative Principal Podcast as part of the Summer of AI Series, I pull in an episode from Seeing To Lead, Chris Jones' podcast. It's an interview with Mary Howard, who recently wrote a book called, "

Worth Seeing

I might be a little late to the healthy party, but I've been learning about being more healthy, and while I still don't get all the different kinds of fats, I have lost 55 pounds and I am learning more. This article helped me understand some fats a little better. I don't want to get blocked for sending a picture, but I'll show the before and after picture to anyone who wants to see it! It's pretty wild!

Worth Quoting

This quote about wisdom has me thinking.

Worth Doing

What is worth doing today? This is the big question. If you could do just one thing, what would be most important to do.

I created a list of non-negotiables that I must do every day. I'll be honest, yesterday, I didn't complete this list until after 8 pm. That happens some days, but here's what I get done every single day:

  • Wake up without an alarm
  • Journal
  • Exercise
  • PQ Reps/Meditation (if you're coming to one of my Move Up Workshops this fall, you'll get a lot about this!)
  • Scripture Study
  • Plan my macros (200g protein, 52g fat, 160g carbs)
  • Write a gratitude/love note to my wife
  • Reach out to 20 people to see if I can serve them.

What are your non-negotiables? The things you have to get done every day? Not because your boss is telling you, but because if you do them, you will have success, fulfillment and happiness in your life?

If you want to be part of my coaching where I help school leaders just like you achieve greatness every day, get in touch.

To your success,

Jethro

I’m going to be using the transcripts from Transformative Principal...

Hi Reader, Tomorrow for our office hours, we’ll be continuing to talk about RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) with AI. This last month, I’ve been working with a tool called whyhow.ai to visualize different relationships between documents. The specific purpose I’m using this for is relating to finding relationships among research studies about a specific topic. Here’s an example looking at destructive leadership and the relationship between gaslighting and other forms of destructive...
